Lis Wehl, born September 19, 1961, in the US, is an author and former legal expert for Fox News.
She was previously an associate professor of law at the University of Washington Law School. She also has provided legal commentary on Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factual and National Public Radio. She has appeared on weekly shows like The O'Reilly Factor, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The Kelly File featuring Megyn Kelly, Lou Dobbs Tonight, The Imus morning programs as well as hosts her own show, the Legal Lis radio show and the Wiehl of Justice podcast.
Wiehl is she is a Yakima native who graduated from West Valley High School. She graduated with a bachelor's diploma from Barnard College in 1983, a Master of Arts in Literature from the University of Queensland in 1985, and the Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1987.
Wiehl worked as a prosecutor for the US Attorney's office. She worked as the legal correspondent on NPR All Things Considered. She served as deputy chief investigation counsel for Democrats at the House Judiciary Committee in Clinton's impeachment. Between 1995 and 2001, she served as a tenured law professor in the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle and was in charge of the Trial Advocacy Program. Wiehl was employed as a Fox News legal analyst from 2001 until 2017.
