Dua Lipa is an English artist and musician who was born August 22nd, 1995 in London United Kingdom. She decided to sign with Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as a model. The label made her debut self-titled album in 2017. It reached the number three spot on the U.K. albums chart and featured eight songs, including her U.K. top-ten single New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa was honored with an award called the Brit Award in the year 2018, as a British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is recognized as platinum in several countries. Dua Lipa was birthed to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London 22 August 1995. Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. The ancestors of her can be traced all the way back to Peja the city of Kosovo. Her two great-grandparents are historians. Her sisters are Rina as well as Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father, who is principal guitarist and singer in the Kosovan rock group Oda. Her home was where her father would continue to play music.
